Our Story
In 1952, one heartbreaking moment changed everything.
After witnessing a young girl going through trash for food, Madeline Moore could not turn away. What she saw revealed a painful truth, families in her community were struggling to meet their most basic needs.
Instead of ignoring the problem, Madeline chose compassion.
With a heart to serve, she began helping others in the simplest ways she could, operating a small ministry out of her own car and garage in Clay County. What started as one woman's response to a moment of need soon became a lifeline for families facing crisis.
Madeline's mission was clear, to walk alongside individuals and families during their hardest times, offering help, dignity and hope. She believed that when we help families meet their basic needs, we do more than provide assistance, we restore stability, rebuild lives and renew hope for the future.
From the humblest beginnings, a powerful legacy was born, one built on compassion, service and the belief that even the smallest act of kindness can change a life.
